What Verification Means on Sagedlist, and What It Does Not Mean

Learn what Sagedlist verification checks, what each verification type means, and what a verification badge does not prove.

2 min read

You might see a verification badge on a Sagedlist profile. The badge has a specific purpose, and verification helps confirm certain information connected to a profile. Sagedlist offers different types of verification.

Identity verification is available today. Business and Academy verification are planned and are not currently available.

Identity Verification

Identity verification checks information used to confirm the identity of the person behind a profile. The badge means the required identity process was completed.

Business Verification

Business verification is intended to check required information connected to a business. It is not currently available. The badge would mean the required business verification process was completed.

Academy Verification

Academy verification is intended to check required information connected to an academy or teaching organisation. It is not currently available. The badge would mean the required academy verification process was completed.

Verifying a business or an academy would not verify the people inside it. Each person would still be verified separately, or not at all.

Why Does Sagedlist Have Verification?

Online profiles do not always make clear who operates them. Verification gives users another piece of information when reviewing a profile, and the badge should be read only for what the badge represents.

What Verification Does Not Mean

Verification does not mean Sagedlist approves or endorses the practitioner. Verification does not prove a practitioner’s skill. Verification does not prove their readings are accurate. Verification does not promise results.

Verification does not mean every statement on the practitioner’s profile was checked by Sagedlist. Verification does not mean Sagedlist agrees with the practitioner’s beliefs, methods, teachings, or interpretations.

Verification does not mean a practitioner is right for you. Verification does not mean one practitioner is better than another practitioner. Verification does not replace your own review of a practitioner.

Why a Practitioner Might Not Have a Badge

A practitioner without a verification badge should not automatically be treated as untrustworthy. They might have chosen not to complete verification, their verification might be pending, or the type of verification offered might not apply to them.

How to Review a Practitioner Before Booking

Use verification as one piece of information. Look at the practitioner’s profile, services, experience, methods, policies, reviews, and answers to your questions before choosing.

Verification is one piece of information when reviewing a practitioner. The rest of it is in how to tell a careful practitioner from a confident one.
